May 17, 2016 I did not really care for this book. On rating it would be a 2. I realize there are others who will enjoy this literary novel. There is too much description about everything and the use of a few words bothered me as well as the seeming acceptance of Augustine and his concubine's relationship. I'm aware that it was true and they parted ways much later. I'm glad he later came to know the Lord and served the Lord the rest of his life. I received this book in exchange for my honest review. Blessings, Karen

May 11, 2016 WOW! Where do I start? This is the first book I have read from author M.B.Tosi and can she write!!! I drank this book up like a horse that had traveled through the desert and found a bubbling brook. She does an amazing job of telling the story through the eyes of a captive white woman and her love for God. It is hard not to give spoilers but I won't. Morning Star is a incredible woman who makes the best of whatever she faces even if she has to fight for what is right. I cried, laughed, mourned and loved as I read as fast as I could to the end. Well Done M.B. Tosi!! Blessings, Karen In The Crimson Path of Honor, the Civil War is over, and a violent period known as the Indian Wars is erupting. Ignoring the danger, a feisty young woman from Boston rebels against her tyrannical father’s plans to marry her off to a family friend, and she seizes an opportunity to go west to teach. On the way to the Oregon Territory, her stagecoach is attacked, and she is captured ...

GOOD MORNING AND HAPPY MONDAY!! I love dogs!!! I especially love dachshunds!!! I have a 10 year old dachshund named Jazzi! She has been a part of my family since she was 7 weeks old. She clearly is spoiled but so sweet and lovable. I was beyond excited when I saw the cover of Dana Mentik’s book “Sit Stay Love” and it has a picture of a dachshund. I knew this would be a great read and I was not disappointed. You'll fall in love with Tippy! Cal learns some valuable life lessons on what is important and what is not. Gina is sweet, down to earth, caring and a survivor. You'll meet Potato Chip, Oscar, Sweets and no I'm not saying anything about them. Read the Book!!! Take one abrasive professional athlete, a quirky out-of-work schoolteacher, and an overweight geriatric dog, and you’re ready for a lesson in love…Tippy style. Pro baseball pitcher Cal Crawford is not a dog guy. When he inherits his deceased mother’s elderly dog, Tippy, he’s...

May 9, 2016 Hello! My name is Karen and I love to color! I have always loved to color since I was a child. Then I grew up (some say differently). Adult coloring that is becoming so popular is wonderful. The coloring book "Amish Quilts" is such a beautiful book to color. Quilt designs of all kinds sends your creativity in to all sorts of color combinations. Coloring is a way for me to relax and de-stress. It is fun and allows you to be an artist on paper. May 5, 2016 Happy Cinco de Mayo! And I thought I didn't learn any Spanish. It is a beautiful day here in Oklahoma. I would love to be able to open the windows but where I work the windows don't open. Today I'm reviewing "An Amish Market." This contains four Amish novellas. I love these type of books. If I'm not familiar with an author, this gives me something to read and I'll know pretty quick if I like the story. All four of these are a hit. In each of them you will find people like you and me facing the same struggles. Each author is talented and her writings hold your attention. Amy Clipston's "Love Birds" (don't ya just love that title). Ellie finds work to help her support her mother and herself as she hopes a certain Amish man notices her. But she does something that he's not sure he can trust her. Got your attention? Yay! Read the book! Kathleen Fuller's "A Bid for Love" (now that title has you wond...

But when an unknown assailant tries repeatedly to drive them out, Emma admits they might need a man after all. A man who can fight--and she knows just the one. Malachi Shaw finally earned the respect he craved by becoming an explosives expert for the railroad. Yet when Emma's plea arrives, he bolts to Harper's Station to repay the girl who once saved his life. Only she's not a girl any longer. She's a woman with a mind of her own and a smile that makes a man imagine a future he doesn't deserve. As the danger intensifies, old feelings grow and deepen, but Emma and Mal will need more than love to survive. Karen Witemeyer's latest book releases this June, that's next month! Mark it down because you will want this book! I have read several of her books and they ar...
