Excellent collections of novellas. Four great authors share their sweet novellas.
I totally enjoyed this book. You will seek to read the other books by these authors. They take you places you won't want to leave. The cover is beautiful as are the stories. A must read!

You can find Tamera Alexander, Shelley Gray, Dorothy Love and Elizabeth Musser on goodreads, amazon, facebook and other social media.

JANUARY 25, 2016

I have several reviews, it has been hard putting down these books to write the reviews so I will today.

The Wedding Chapel

"The Wedding Chapel" by Rachel Hauck is great. I loved reading how one is never too old to find a lost love. Rachel does an amazing job in writing this book. I almost felt like I was in the Chapel. it is never too late for reconciliation. Always have Hope!

A Respectable Actress

"A Respectable Actress" by Dorothy Love is another great book. It is full of secrets, mystery, suspense, murder, living a day at a time and of course romance. You will find yourself cheering for India in all the struggles and changes she faces. Hearts healed and new beginnings are waiting for you.

Whispers in the Reading Room - eBook - By: Shelley Gray

"Whispers in the Reading Room" by Shelley Gray. Wow, grabbed my interest from the first page. I love books and reading a book about a librarian who meets a mysterious patron just makes for great reading. You will fall in love with Lydia, Bridget, Sebastian and even Vincent. Suspense, murder, unsavory part of a town, ways of life changed and the love a woman has for a man who never experienced being loved.

I can honestly say that all three of these books were hard to put down when everyday life had to be dealt with. I read all three books in one week. Oh Yeah! They are that good! Don't wait, start reading them now you will not regret it.
I received this books for my honest review.

I love Melanie's books, I look forward to each new release and this one did not disappoint.
Written during the Regency Era. A different path than her previous novels but written just as well.
She has a distinctive talent in her writing skills. I enjoy this novel very much. The story between Nicholas and Julia will capture you from the beginning and through every page as they face pain, betrayal, life-changing decisions as God works in their lives for His greater good.
This is definitely a must read.

January 20, 2016

I finished reading An Amish Christmas Gift, which is three novellas by three different authors.

"Naomi's Gift" by Amy Clipston reminds me not to give up hope in areas of my life that I feel won't ever change. Follow Naomi as she learns that loving and being loved is never too late. Sometimes well meaning friends and family don't always know what is best for you only God does.

"An Unexpected Joy" by Ruth Reid is filled with humor and determination as Abigail works hard to save money for something she feels will help her be more independent. The connection between her, Micah and his grandmother just warmed my heart. Anger and betrayal create a bridge but how will they get over it. Just got to read it to find out!

"A Christmas Visitor" by Kelly Irvin is an Amish story from a different perspective. Frannie is sent to her aunt and uncle's house to remove her from a relationship with a English man. She is determined and stays the course in being committed to her Amish heritage. She is faced with how to get past the love she has for Rocky, the English man to try to love a Amish man that shares her beliefs. What happens will keep you reading to see how the story end.

Yesterday my parents celebrated 58 years of marriage! Congratulations!

I have several reviews to share with you this week beginning with T.K. Chapin's "Up in Smoke"
This is the 3rd book in this series. It is a good read as it deals with the consequences of gambling and one can become a slave to it and allow it to destroy families and friendships. I like T.K.'s books for one reason is that it comes through the eyes of the main guy in the book. Helps with getting a new perspective in reading. Well done!

Good Morning and Happy New Year!                                 January 7, 2016

As for most of you my December was busy. Yet, I always find time to read.  ALWAYS! I’ve read through many novellas.  They are listed below with a short review.  Every one of them were great reads.

“The Substitute Bride” by Carrie Fancett Pagels
A Christmas Carol meets It’s A Wonderful Life.  I loved this story line and how the heroine finds herself in a tough spot and seeks a solution. That solution ends up being an answer to her prayer as well as the hero's'. Step out in faith when God directs you.
“Letters from Santa” by Becca Whitham
"Yes, Violet there is a Santa Clause." Two people in search of answers to their father's pasts that put them in each other's path. Who is the man behind the letters from Santa. A kind deed can travel a long way.
“Home for the Holidays” by Christine Lynsvuler
Lauren and Jeffrey have known each other since childhood. Each want the other to find the spouse of their dreams. But maybe, they are looking at the wrong faces. Sometimes we just need to ask God to change our perspective in certain situations.

“Pieces on Earth” by Cathy Bryant
Have you ever made plans for Christmas just to have them turned upside down? Learn how Liv deals with life lessons when her plans are shattered, she goes on spending binges and how she thinks her new friend has it all together. Through our relationship with God can plans be redirected, help through everyday ups and downs and to learn that no one has a perfect life.

“Christmas Traditions”  9 novellas including authors Jennifer Alee, Darlene Franklin, Patty Smith Hall, Cynthia Hickey, Carrie Fancett Pagels, Niki Turner, Gina Welborn
Just plan a week-end to cuddle up with a warm blanket and a cup of coffee and enjoy each of these novellas. They are amazing.
I realize Christmas has passed but Christmas stories are always a good idea regardless of the of year.
