MY THOUGHTS:
                     A thrilling suspense filled story. Shelby didn't anticipate the threats to her
life when she arrives at her uncle Ken's to help him to assay the mine he has mineral rights to but someone doesn't want her in the mine. I'm the kind of reader that I try hard to solve the mystery before I reach the end of the book. This one had me stumped. I suspected who it was but it is so well written I really didn't know for sure until I reached the end. A must read.

My family and I have enjoyed many adventures in this amazing area, from exploring gold mines, to climbing through caverns, and soaking in the incredible history. As a matter of fact, we recently enjoyed a train trip on the historic V and T Railroad which took us past abandoned mines and even some active ones where people are engaged in modern day treasure hunting.
