I Just love to read!! But you knew that already. (hehehe) I enjoy books of different genres for the most part. I enjoy novels that are light and humorous as Shanna Hatfield's "Learnin the Ropes."

ABOUT THE BOOK:

All he wanted was a job...

He didn't plan on a beautiful boss, a crazy dog, and a ranch in the middle of nowhere

Out of work and out of luck, auto mechanic Ty Lewis responds in a moment of desperation to a classified ad for a job in Harney County, Oregon. Offered the position on a remote ranch, he bids goodbye to his sister and his life in Portland. When he arrives in the tiny community of Riley to begin a new adventure, he encounters the behemoth dog that rules the ranch although he has yet to meet his boss, an elusive employer named Lex Ryan.
Lexi Ryan, known to her ranch hands and neighbors as Lex Jr., leaves behind a successful career in Portland to keep the Rockin’ R Ranch running smoothly after the untimely death of her father. It doesn’t take long to discover her father did many crazy things during the last few months of his life, like hiding half a million dollars that Lexi can’t find.
Ty and Lexi are both in for a few surprises as he arrives at the Rockin’ R Ranch and begins learnin’ the ropes.

MEET THE AUTHOR:
A hopeless romantic with a bit of sarcasm thrown in for good measure, Shanna Hatfield is an award-winning USA Today bestselling author of sweet romantic fiction written with a healthy dose of humor. In addition to blogging and a thing for dark chocolate, she is completely smitten with her husband, lovingly known as Captain Cavedweller.

Shanna creates character-driven romances with relatable heroes and heroines. Her historical westerns have been described as "reminiscent of the era captured by Bonanza and The Virginian" while her contemporary works have been called "laugh-out-loud funny, and a little heart-pumping sexy without being explicit in any way."

She is a member of Western Writers of America, Women Writing the West, Sweet Romance Reads, Pioneer Hearts, and Romance Writers of America.

MY REVIEW: I thoroughly enjoy Shanna's books. Be ready for a "Yee Haw" rip roaring fast read in "Learnin the Ropes." Did ya see the dog on the cover? I think she's my favorite in this book with Lexi and Ty coming in at a close second. Grab yer spurs, chaps and yer horse and be ready to gallop into this fun read!!! It's a must read Buckaroo!!

Blessings,

Karen Hadley
