JUNE 20, 2015
Good Afternoon,
I hope everyone is having a great Saturday! As I shared before we have been getting quite a bit of rain here in Oklahoma but today it is clear and beautiful. I wanted to take time to post my review after I finished reading Ronie Kendig's book "RAPTOR 6".
Karen Hadley's Review of "Raptor 6" by Ronie Kendig
WOW! As I begin to write this my heart begins to pound. This is the first book I have read by Ronie and I was so impressed by her writing skills. As I think about the characters, their responsibilities, the scenes, the expert areas of each of the characters and all the other information in the book, she does an incredible job of creating her stories. Captain Watters and Zarrah are the hero and heroine of the story and you will find their courage in all they face as an inspiration in anything you may be facing in your own life. There were times I had to break from my reading to calm my heartbeat down, wipe my tears or to remind myself to breathe. It is an action packed, suspenseful, sit on the each of your seat and bite your nails novel. I felt like I was part of the Special Forces Team. I'd find myself holding my breathe, laughing at Hawk, sympathy for Eagle, a desire to punch the Seals leader in the nose only to come to like him eventually and hopes for Dean to be Gibbs slapped up side his head to realize he is human and its okay to have feelings. I cheered for Zarrah and her love for her mother's people, her retired military father and his protectiveness of his daughter, I feel in love with little Ara and Rashid and I smiled with Dean realized the past was exactly that the past. I was struck with awe as Dean comes to realize God really does love him and God really is in control. Yes, it is that good and you will be swept away as your adrenaline builds and sits you down in unknown territories. A GREAT READ!!
.
"Raptor 6" is the first book in "The Quiet Professionals" Series,
"Hawk" follows with "Falcon" finishing the series.
As I finish this post, The second book "Hawk" is on my table, cover me, I'm going in!!

An Army brat, Ronie Kendig grew up in the classic military family, with her father often TDY and her mother holding down the proverbial fort. Their family moved often, which left Ronie attending six schools by the time she’d entered fourth grade. Her only respite and “friends” during this time were the characters she created.
It was no surprise when she married a military veteran—her real-life hero—in June 1990. Married more than twenty years, Ronie and her husband, Brian, homeschool their children, the first of whom graduated in 2011. Despite the craziness of life, Ronie finds balance and peace with her faith, family and their Maltese Menace in Northern Virginia.
Ronie has a deep love and passion for people, especially hurting people, which is why she pursued and obtained a B.S. in Psychology from Liberty University. Ronie speaks nationally, volunteers with writer’s organizations, including American Christian Fiction Writers (ACFW) and My Book Therapy, and mentors other writers.
